We’re introducing SINDREL MedTech, an Italian medical technology company pioneering a new generation of digitally controlled drug-delivery technologies designed to provide rapid, precise, and on-demand therapeutic intervention.
Within CLUSTREL, SINDREL will contribute to preclinical validation and product development, helping to de-risk the technology, address regulatory challenges, and strengthen its readiness for future clinical and market applications.
Working closely with the project’s scientific and technical partners, INSTM and UNIMORE, SINDREL will help ensure that the CLUSTREL prototypes respond to the real needs of patients and caregivers while taking pharmaceutical, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements into account.
SINDREL will also collaborate with Future Needs, CLUSTREL’s exploitation partner, to engage key stakeholders across the epilepsy ecosystem, including patients, clinicians, and industry partners.
About SINDREL MedTech
Established in 2026, SINDREL MedTech S.r.l. is an innovative Italian start-up recognised as an INSTM startup. Audrey Franceschi Biagioni, CEO and Scientific Lead, and Giacomo Tesolin, Business Strategy and Commercial Lead, SINDREL aims to translate years of multidisciplinary research in pharmacology, neuroscience, and nanotechnology into solutions addressing critical challenges associated with self-administering medication.
By pioneering a new generation of precision drug-delivery devices, SINDREL is helping CLUSTREL take another step towards connecting breakthrough technology with the needs of people living with epilepsy, and to furthermore empower patients and caregivers to respond rapidly and safely to seizure emergencies through digitally controlled drug delivery.
Meet the SINDREL TEAM and Their Role!

Audrey Franceschi Biagioni, Co-Founder & CEO
Audrey is a pharmacologist and neuroscientist with an MSc and a PhD in Pharmacology and extensive experience in neuroscience, nanotechnology and graphene-based drug delivery. As one of the inventors of SINDREL’s core technology, she co-founded SINDREL MedTech to transform multidisciplinary research into patient-centred healthcare solutions. She also brings entrepreneurial and business-development expertise in market validation, investment readiness and the commercialisation of scientific innovation.
Within CLUSTREL, Audrey will lead SINDREL’s contribution to product development and market-readiness activities. She will connect research activities with patient needs while supporting preclinical validation, regulatory planning, intellectual property management, and the pathway towards clinical adoption and market uptake.
“It’s a privilege to be part of CLUSTREL’s outstanding team and to join forces to transform a shared goal into a medical device meaningful for patients and caregivers.”

Giacomo Tesolin, Co-Founder, Business Strategy & Commercial Lead
He is an entrepreneurial marketing, product and P&L leader with experience in business strategy, sales and market development. He has a strong track record of creating incremental value, building new markets and challenging established ones. As co-founder of SINDREL, Giacomo connects technological development with market needs, commercial opportunities and sustainable long-term growth.
Within CLUSTREL, Giacomo will contribute to business development, market validation, investment readiness and stakeholder engagement. He will help assess the product’s value proposition, identify commercialisation opportunities and build relationships with industry partners and investors.

Gabriele Potenza, R&D Researcher
Gabriele has a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Trieste. His research background lies in translational neuroscience, with experience using laboratorial models to investigate the neurobiology of autism, epilepsy and neuroinflammation.
Gabriele will contribute to CLUSTREL’s preclinical investigation and the experimental validation of SINDREL’s technology in relevant oral and neural environments. Using advanced biological models, he will help assess the performance and pharmacological effects of the drug-delivery system, generating evidence to support its continued development and future clinical translation.
“CLUSTREL is a great opportunity to combine my scientific background in neuroscience with medical-device development, transforming laboratory insights into concrete benefits for people living with epilepsy.”
